The online classroom is available to students across Minnesota. We have students from Bemidji, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Wadena, Walker, Staples, Pine River, Bagley, Laporte, and the Twin Cities. Take the classroom with us, then complete your 6 hours of behind-the-wheel with any licensed driving school near you. Your certificate is accepted statewide.
If you're in the Park Rapids, Menahga, Sebeka, or Nevis area, you can do behind-the-wheel with us and save $50 by bundling.

Frequently asked questions
Is this course approved by the Minnesota DPS?
Yes. This 30-hour online course is approved by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety and satisfies the full classroom requirement for teen driver education in Minnesota.
Can I take this course if I don't live near Park Rapids?
Yes. The classroom-only option is designed for students anywhere in Minnesota. You take the 30 hours online with us and do your behind-the-wheel training with a licensed school in your area.
How long does the course take?
Minnesota limits students to 3 hours per day, so the fastest possible completion is 10 days. Most students take two to four weeks. You have 90 days total.
How old do I need to be?
Students must be at least 14 years old to enroll. The course is designed for students ages 14–17 working toward a Minnesota instruction permit.
What do I get when I finish?
You'll receive a certificate of completion, which you take to the DVS to sit for your knowledge test and get your instruction permit.
Can I do behind-the-wheel with a different driving school?
Yes. Your classroom certificate is valid statewide and any licensed Minnesota driving school can provide your 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
What if I don't finish in 90 days?
You can purchase a 30-day extension once the course expires. Your progress is saved.
Do I still need supervised driving hours?
Yes. Minnesota requires 50 hours of supervised driving, including 15 at night. If a parent completes the optional Parent Awareness class, that drops to 40 hours.
